Troy Lupe

J. Troy Lupe serves as Chief Technology Officer at Zayo, where he leads the technology strategy and continued evolution of the company’s network. He is focused on how Zayo designs, scales, and advances its infrastructure to stay ahead of changing customer demand, emerging technologies, and the rapidly evolving digital economy.

Troy has more than 25 years of leadership experience across telecommunications and technology. Prior to joining Zayo in November 2021, he served as Chief Operating Officer for New Era Technology and Vice President of Field Operations for Comcast Cable.

Throughout his career, Troy has led large-scale network construction, field operations, and technology organizations, including major long-haul infrastructure programs and large, distributed operational workforces. That experience gives him a unique perspective on the full lifecycle of critical infrastructure, from planning and design through construction and operation. Today, he applies that operating depth to Zayo’s technology strategy, network architecture, infrastructure planning, and automation, helping shape how the network evolves to meet the next generation of capacity, resiliency, and performance requirements.

Troy earned a Master of Science in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Management and Marketing.
