How Zayo is Expanding
Original Goal:
In January 2025, Zayo announced plans to build 5,000 new route miles by 2030.
Current Progress:
In less than 18 months, that plan has expanded significantly. Build and overbuild projects are now underway, spanning over 15,000 route miles and approximately 20 million fiber miles.
Recent Acquisition:
With the recent acquisition of Crown Castle’s Fiber Solutions business, Zayo has added 90,000 metro route miles and 40,000 on-net enterprise locations, strengthening our metro density for AI inference workloads.
