Pac-12 announces Zayo Group as official partner
SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 announced today that Zayo Group, a leading global provider of communications infrastructure headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, has been added as an official partner of the Conference and its three flagship championship events, the Pac-12 Football Championship Game, presented by 76®, and the Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, presented by New York Life.
“For over five years, Zayo has provided the high-performance fiber networks and infrastructure to move, process, and store enormous volumes of data that allow the Pac-12 to produce and distribute top-quality programming for our customers and partners,” said Steve Tseng, executive vice president of sales. “We are delighted to announce that Zayo has become an Official Partner of the Pac-12!”
As an official partner of the Pac-12, Zayo will serve as presenting sponsor of Yogi Roth’s ‘THE IT FACTORY,’ a weekly series on Pac-12 Insider, the free streaming channel from Pac-12 Networks, and also available on all podcast platforms. The show, which debuted in September, features the Pac-12 Networks’ lead football analyst talking to the biggest names in Pac-12 football to learn more about their journey toward success on Saturdays and what separates those with the ever-elusive “it factor” from everyone else.
Zayo Chief Marketing Officer, Kimberly Storin, added: “Zayo is invested in the success of the Pac-12, both as we deliver connectivity solutions to help bring the fans into the action, and now through this official partnership with the conference. Zayo is known for connecting what’s next by serving as a force behind the scenes for some of the world’s leading brands. Now we get to help bring some of the Pac-12’s best behind-the-scenes stories to life, while also connecting with fans both in-stadium and at home in a new and meaningful way.”
Beyond Roth’s show, Zayo will also serve as the presenting sponsor of all interviews on Pac-12 Networks, including celebratory postgame interviews and feature sit-downs. Those “Zayo Connection” interviews are part of a slate of inventory for the company across Pac-12 Networks’ linear, digital and social channels.
As a sponsor of the Pac-12 Football Championship Game and Pac-12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments, Zayo will also receive in-stadium branding and hospitality along with fan activation opportunities at the trio of championship events.
With today’s announcement, Zayo joins a number of leading brands and current partners of the Pac-12, including 76®, Allegiant, Campbell’s, Deschutes Brewery, Dr Pepper, Gatorade, GEICO, Jockey, New York Life, Nextiva, Old Trapper, Pacific Premier Bank, Pacific Seafood, Paycor, Redbox, TicketSmarter and Unifi.
