Zayo Strengthens Focus on Channel Partners

Zayo has a strong presence at the Channel Partners Conference this week, reinforcing a renewed focus on our indirect partners. The event brings together more than 6,000 providers and partners for conference sessions, expo, meetings and networking. We’ll make the most of this opportunity to strengthen relationships, compare notes on advances in the industry and talk about the needs of our customers, large users of bandwidth and communications infrastructure.

Our go-forward approach is proactive and strategic, engaging partners in our vertical alignment, product strategy and sales approach. Zayo’s plan includes an investment in training, education and support — including in-depth training on Tranzact, our online platform for evaluating, purchasing and managing bandwidth.

Leading the effort: Grant Burchfield newly-named vice president of Indirect Sales, with a dedicated focus on channel partners. He’s spent his first two months meeting with as many partners as possible, listening, learning and establishing a framework for productive collaboration. Grant, who holds both a law degree and an MBA, has held key management roles at Zayo, including senior director of Global Reach.

From a solutions perspective, Burchfield said the focus will go beyond point-to-point bandwidth and internet connections. “Businesses in multiple sectors now require integrated, fully redundant infrastructure solutions that Zayo offers,” he added. “Our focus is to ensure that both our partners and our customers alike are fully aware of the depth and scope of our fiber footprint and entire product portfolio.”
