zColo’s Santa Clara Colocation Data Center Meeting Silicon Valley Demand
Late last year, we announced our expansion into our first Silicon Valley location — 5101 Lafayette Street in Santa Clara. Located directly across the street from Levi Stadium and the Great America Station, this offers Tier III space, power and interconnection.
With the recent acquisition of Electric Lightwave, the data center also offers proximity to expanded, diverse long haul dark fiber routes between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Our California footprint has expanded significantly and includes a unique subsea cable route up the California coast. These routes also offer access to dense metro fiber in in major California and West coast markets, which now include Sacramento and Portland.
The Santa Clara colocation facility offers:
- 26,900 total square feet, 14,000 sq ft of data center space
- 3 megawatts (MW) of critical power
- high-efficiency power and cooling infrastructure
- seismic reinforcement to an importance factor of 1.5
- AC/DC breakered and metered power
“We have long targeted Northern California as an expansion opportunity for our zColo data center business. The quality and high-power density of this facility is perfectly matched to the requirements of our leading-edge, Bay Area customers,” said Chris Morley, COO at Zayo.
The quality and high-power density of the Santa Clara colo facility aligns with the service needs of Silicon Valley’s growing technology sector, Ad Tech companies, and research labs. With a flexible infrastructure, Zayo’s colocation services provides customers with the benefits of high quality colocation — and valuable interconnection to Zayo’s growing global network.
