Tier 2 through Tier 5 provider of Bandwidth Infrastructure backs FCC Plan to expand broadband deployment
LOUISVILLE, Colo.– March 16, 2010 – Zayo Bandwidth, a regional provider of fiber-based bandwidth solutions for carrier, enterprise and government customers announced today that it commends the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for releasing its National Broadband Plan. The Plan lays out a roadmap that focuses on identifying the barriers to swift deployment of broadband facilities and examines the wide range of issues currently preventing adoption by all Americans.
As a Tier 2-5 Bandwidth Infrastructure provider, Zayo Bandwidth recognizes the need to expand broadband deployment and the need to reach the fundamental, underserved areas throughout the United States including the education, health care, energy conservation and public safety sectors.
“Zayo would like to commend the FCC on its painstaking efforts in producing this National Broadband Plan. The goals laid out within The Commission’s Plan will be vital in realizing the deployment of broadband facilities and adoption of broadband by all Americans,” stated John Scarano, Co-Founder & COO of Zayo Group and President of Zayo Bandwidth. “We look forward to the implementation of the plan and doing our part to ensure its’ success.”
