Last Monday, we announced an agreement to acquire Allstream, a Canadian business with more than 18,000 intercity and metro route miles across Canada. Allstream has metro fiber and colocation facilities concentrated in its top five markets – Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa and Calgary. Pending customary approvals, we expect the transaction to close in the first quarter of calendar year 2016.

Last week, Zayo announced that we would acquire Viatel’s infrastructure business. Once the transaction closes, expected by year-end, it will significantly expand our international capability, extending the network that Zayo owns and operates into eight European countries. The acquisition will increase our global footprint by 8,394 kilometers — more than 5,200 miles.
Earlier this month, we were honored to receive the Progressive Board Award from the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce in recognition of women on our board of directors. Our board is 30% women, which puts us in the top echelon of not just Colorado companies but of all public companies.
