ZCOLO EXPANDS FOOTPRINT IN FIVE STRATEGIC MARKETS

LOUISVILLE, Colo.– Jan. 11, 2011 – Zayo Colocation (zColo), a network neutral provider of colocation and interconnection services, announced today it is expanding into five strategic markets, bringing the number of locations under operation to ten. The premier technical facilities will provide world-class carrier services that enable enterprise, carrier and exchange providers to interconnect in a single, secure and reliable environment.
zColo currently operates 116,465 square feet of data center colocation space in its current markets: New York, Newark, Nashville and Los Angeles. Through this expansion, zColo has added an additional 46,404 square feet of data center colocation space in Memphis, Tenn; Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, and Plymouth, Minn.
The new markets, already fully operational, expand upon zColo’s existing capabilities:
Access to Zayo Group’s dense fiber networks that connect to more than 4,000 locations including major carrier hotels, communication hub points and enterprise buildings. Additionally, Zayo’s finer network has the capability to extend to customer locations.
Interconnection to 200+ international and domestic carriers across its N.Y. and N.J. colocation facilities.
Dense interconnection assets accessing 30 suites in the 60 Hudson street facility in New York and 27 suites in the 111 8th avenue facility also in New York.
Interconnection services including DS1, DS3, Ethernet and fiber/OCN connectivity within all facilities.

Meet-Me-Rooms enable customers cost efficient access to all carriers in a building, as well as interconnection opportunities with colocation customers through a cross-connect room.
