SUMMARY:

The Product Manager is primarily responsible for product analytics and supporting the Zayo sales organization in process and system mechanics. The Product Analyst position involves providing guidance to the sales organisation, pricing and capital approval authority, embedded base management and communication with the US business units.   An effective Product Analyst will become an expert in navigating Salesforce.com in order to assist the sales organization in developing customer quotes, tracking sales opportunities, processing orders, and approving pricing and capital. Ability to understand complex system dependencies and make decisions based on Product Management rules is essential.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ongoing management on European Business Unit churn and sales funnels – ensure maintained accurately, provide readouts on tracking to forecast
  • Analyse, understand and communicate market pricing and trends
  • Analysis of Type II options in different markets and recommendations based on best fit for Zayo
  • Develop and enable customer-facing product offerings and other strategic initiatives
  • Ensure timely responses to the sales organization for quoting, renewals, approvals and general support
  • Manage existing embedded base through price increases, renewals and disconnects
  • Create and maintain ongoing monthly product metrics
  • Ongoing verification of sales data accuracy and completion, and routine interaction with sales, finance, accounting, engineering, and operations in order to improve or update data
  • Review and approve Product Management tasks in workflow tools based on confirmation of task completion by operations and other Zayo work groups
  • Process orders through excel and use the Zayoloader tool to do large changes and process bulk orders in Salesforce
  • Support for Product Leads in all activities related to revenue growth
  • Other general, miscellaneous tasks as required to support revenue growth

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Product Analyst: 2-3 years of product, financial, or technology analyst experience. Telecommunications industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, engineering or other degree requiring analytical aptitude
  • Effective Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of functional teams, and strong interpersonal skills for supporting and advising sales teams on proper systems and process
  • Application Proficiency: Proficiency in the MS Office suite of tools with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint is required. Knowledge of Salesforce.com platform is a plus.
