Customers, partners and Zayo employees gathered in London, last month to celebrate the grand opening of Zayo’s first data centre in the UK, located in Feltham near the Heathrow Airport. The 2,416 square meters expands our global footprint across Europe and provides direct access to Zayo’s extensive global network.
The data centre is only 30 minutes from central London, well communicated by tube or train. London is the financial capital of Europe and the largest telecoms hub in the UK, an excellent option for cloud and content providers, financial institutions and enterprise customers. zColo offers carrier-neutral connections to cloud, IP, financial/low latency, content, video and peering ecosystems.
zColo by Zayo operates 50 data centres across North America and Europe, with facilities in London, Paris, Toulouse, Montpellier, Brussels Dusseldorf and Amsterdam.
“This new data center strengthens our commitment to the UK, providing customers with an excellent option for colocation and high-capacity fibre connectivity”, said Bruce Garrison, zColo’s senior vice president. “This facility will offer low-latency connectivity to Slough, city centre, and even around central London for connection directly to France and the rest of Europe”.
During the event, the attendees had the unique opportunity to have a virtual reality tour of the data centre. Thanks to this experience, the audience was able to “walk through” the facility while enjoying an event in central London with views of the Thames.
