Role Overview:

The Sales Account Executive is responsible for achieving and exceeding targeted revenue to increase and maintain overall profitability. Through ongoing interaction with clients, the Sales Account Executive plans and implements effective sales strategies and manages the sales cycle in order to build new business and maintain current business opportunities throughout the client enterprise.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Achievement of Sales revenue targets – monthly recurring revenue and monthly bookings.
  • Achievement of growth portfolio revenue targets.
  • Development and execution of a strategic account plan.
  • Establishing trust and build loyalty with key influencers and decision-makers to build solid relationships

Requirements:

  • High-level ability to manage all aspects of the sales cycle.
  • Strong LAN and WAN skills
  • Strong understanding of IP protocols and standards
  • Strong understanding of Voice/Video over IP (VOIP, H.323, SIP)
  • Knowledge of applications and solutions that drive IP connectivity (MPLS Networks, Internet Connectivity, IP Telephony, and Converged Applications)
  • Ability to relate technology to customer business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies within specific accounts
  • Demonstrated strong solution and strategic selling skills combined with exceptional business acumen
  • Strong Telephony & Collaboration experience (Cisco & Mitel centric with knowledge of Avaya/Nortel & Panasonic a bonus)
  • Experience in cloud based solutions an asset
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of telecommunications products and services.
  • Respond to RFP/RFI requests from client organizations.
  • Experience in selling telecommunication, unified communications and collaboration, and security solutions is preferred.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a continually changing and competitive environment

 Education & Certification:

  • 10-15 years direct sales experience at the enterprise level.
  • University Degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Expert use of all available desktop tools, including Office, Excel, PowerPoint.

Experience

  • Experience in selling telecommunication, unified communications and collaboration, and security solutions is preferred.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a continually changing and competitive environment
