In July, I blogged about Zayo’s focus to ramp up capacity and support for public cloud connectivity. More businesses are adopting the public cloud, with public computing expected to grow at rates between 40 to 50 percent through 2019. The array of cloud solutions available can enable you to scale up or down as needed, pay for only what you consume and leave the capital investment, infrastructure management and maintenance to an outside partner.
While most businesses put considerable time and thought into the right cloud solution and provider, some overlook an equally important part of the equation: cloud connectivity. The right network can ensure the performance, security and reliability required for mission critical business applications. The public Internet just doesn’t cut it for many cloud-based applications.
Since my last blog, Zayo continues to advance its global Connect to Cloud infrastructure. We’ve added international AWS on-ramps in Paris and Frankfurt and continue to expand our offerings including “cloud to cloud” connectivity supporting hybrid and federated cloud environments and expanding access via Layer 3 IP connectivity to both AWS and Microsoft Azure.
3 key ways we’re working together to ensure it’s “Your Cloud, Your Way.”:
Public Cloud Connectivity:
From 50 Mbps to 10 Gbps, Zayo can provide Connect to Cloud solutions with fiber connectivity across Wavelengths, Ethernet and IP Services. Our extensive network now connects nearly 1,200 cloud providers and data centers globally.
Hybrid infrastructure as a service (IaaS) combines public cloud, private cloud and dedicated hosting, and connectivity, providing an optimized and customized solution, with economies of scale and savings from the outsourced components. Our IaaS solutions enable management of your IT systems across an end-to-end infrastructure platform, providing the ultimate flexibility to adjust and scale as requirements change.
A cloud environment with multiple public and private elements, Federated Cloud combines these cloud deployment solutions and connectivity to best meet the needs of your business. Whether it’s premise-to-cloud, data center-to-cloud or cloud-to-cloud, Zayo will work with you on an intelligent cloud strategy and an integrated “single pane of glass” dashboard to manage it, with the high-performance connectivity required to make it all work together.
Your cloud, connected.
Our objective is to ensure your cloud works for you, with connections to all the major public cloud providers plus Zayo’s own private cloud service. We’re one of Microsoft’s only combined ExpressRoute and Cloud Solution Provider partners.
