Zayo to Deliver Fiber Network Infrastructure to Birmingham Alabama

LOUISVILLE, Colo. – November 9, 2011 – Zayo announced today it is expanding its fiber network to Birmingham, AL as part of an agreement to deliver services for a large wholesale customer. As a result of this expansion, Zayo will add an initial market presence in the state of Alabama.

The newly built network will form the foundation of network in the Birmingham central business district and surrounding areas including Homewood and Lakeshore. Zayo will add 12 route miles of high capacity network and begin providing services by the end of the year to Birmingham area carriers, enterprises, government and educational institutions. Zayo’s Birmingham network adds to the reach of the bandwidth infrastructure services throughout Zayo’s fiber networks.
