Boulder, Colo. – February 10, 2014 – Global Bandwidth Infrastructure services provider Zayo Group Holdings Inc. (NYSE:ZAYO), today announced it will offer current Zayo customers the opportunity connect to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Direct Connect in under 60 minutes through Tranzact, Zayo’s innovative bandwidth shopping platform.
Quick Connect, Zayo’s newest Tranzact feature, allows customers to connect to the AWS cloud in less than 60 minutes over secure, private, high-performance connections. The feature is available now to all existing Ethernet and IPVPN customers, and provides connectivity through any of Zayo’s U.S.-based AWS Direct Connect sites located in New York City, Los Angeles, San Jose, Seattle, and Ashburn, Va.
To access Quick Connect, customers can login to Tranzact, confirm the AWS location to which they want to connect, and select desired bandwidth up to 500Mbs. Zayo’s team then configures the service and enables customers to reach AWS in less than 60 minutes.
“With the launch of Quick Connect, Zayo is answering market demand for private fiber-based connectivity to the cloud with the quick turn up enterprises are looking for,” stated John Real, vice president of strategic channels. “Our solution provides reliable, secure, cost-effective connectivity to the cloud, and we look forward enabling customers to access these benefits in less than 60 minutes.”
Zayo is an Amazon Partner Network (APN) Technology Partner and has offered direct connect to AWS since 2011. Direct connectivity improves user experience when connecting to the cloud by providing customers consistent, secure, and reliable bandwidth over a private network. Zayo provides Quick Connect over its extensive fiber-optic network which spans more than 81,500 route miles and connects to more than 16,000 on-net buildings.
