Philip Canfield has served as a Director since July 2012 and is currently the co-head of the Information Services & Technology Group at the Chicago-based private equity firm GTCR. He joined GTCR in 1992 and became a Principal in 1997. From 1990 until 1992, he worked in the corporate finance department at Kidder, Peabody and Company. In addition to his roles at Zayo and GTCR, Philip is a member of the Board of Directors of Sorenson Communications, Inc., IQNavigator, Inc., Global Traffic Network, Inc., OneSource and Rural Broadband Investments. He received an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA in Finance with high honours from the Honors Business Program at the University of Texas. Philip was appointed Director as a result of his experience in corporate finance and the telecommunications industry. He played a key role in the acquisition of AppNet, Transaction Network Services, DigitalNet, CellNet and Solera at GTCR.
