Last week’s announcement of our data center expansion in Dallas is good news for several large enterprise customers who have already signed on or expressed strong interest in the new facility. With our existing zColo space in Dallas at or nearing capacity, we now have a new, and we believe better, option for colocation in one of the hottest data center markets in the country.
Zayo’s colocation centers are different in ways other providers truly can’t touch. Reliability, scalability and security – basic requirements for colocation, in our view – are just the beginning. That’s because our data centers are a natural extension of Zayo’s high-capacity fiber network, creating a holistic communications infrastructure that helps customers transport, store and process increasing volumes of data to and from a growing number of sources.
This strategic approach, and our sizeable infrastructure network, means that Zayo provides benefits that other “pure play” data center companies simply can’t offer. They include:
- Connectivity via our fiber backbone to Zayo’s key points-of-presence (PoPs) in three key data center hubs in Dallas
- Access to Zayo’s full fiber network, which begins with 3,500 route miles of dense metro fiber in Dallas and includes about 90,000 additional miles across North America, Europe, including additional global reach to more than 25 countries
- Carrier-neutral interconnectivity, providing customers with full flexibility for connecting with partners and distributors
Dallas is a Texas-sized microcosm of what we’re doing on a global basis. Over the past year, Zayo has nearly doubled its data center footprint, with a focus on Tier 2 “edge” markets to put servers closest to users. In addition to our focus on interconnectivity, nine of our 53 data centers also offer cloud and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) so businesses can scale their infrastructure and manage their costs through public, private or hybrid cloud solutions.
As Zayo’s reach continues to expand, and our product line becomes more extensive, our values have remained the same. We’re still driven to provide business the connectivity it needs to grow, and the speed it needs to compete. Whether it’s fiber, Ethernet or colocation services, choosing Zayo means choosing a partner that gives you end-to-end communications infrastructure that meets you where you are. In Dallas, and around the world.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
