Position Description

Zayo is seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Manager to drive full spectrum recruiting via traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. This role will be responsible for attracting top talent to the organization, supporting hiring managers with the recruiting process, implementing and managing the Application Tracking System, creating and analyzing metrics, onboarding new hires, and driving the overall recruiting strategy which includes supporting the brand, interviewing, enhancing the candidate experience, managing the employee referral program, and building the talent pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Drives recruiting activities to ensure a strong pool of qualified candidates for current and future openings
  • Partners with management in creating effective job postings and descriptions to accomplish goals and objectives for the open position while maintaining and keeping all job descriptions current
  • Identifies appropriate sites and tools for communicating opportunities with Zayo and networks through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and other employee referrals
  • Attends recruiting events and works with community groups, universities, foundations, non-profit organizations to locate diverse candidates and source passive candidate pools
  • Develops and executes recruiting plans to identify, source, evaluate and pipeline pools of qualified candidates that align strategy with company goals
  • Conducts regular follow-ups with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
  • Creates and analyzes recruiting and sourcing metrics
  • Leads and conducts full life cycle searches including sourcing, pre-screening submitted resumes and conducting pre-interview phone screening for the managers
  • Collaborates with hiring managers on offer review and approvals
  • Sends offer letters to all candidates and initiates the on-boarding process
  • Maintains all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Applicant Tracking System
  • Manages employee and applicant inquiries and claims, responding with tact and resourcefulness
  • Educates managers on diversity and inclusion best practices when recruiting
  • Assists with special People Ops Team projects on request

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of full life cycle recruiting preferably with a growing company
  • Prior experience with sales and/or telecom industry recruiting preferred
  • Skilled with leveraging web-based recruitment tools, the internet, social media, ATS, LinkedIn, and other technology to attract and recruit candidates
  • Ability to successfully build relationships and interact with all levels in the organization, including executives
  • Advanced knowledge in Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar and associated apps
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task several open positions at once
  • Experience implementing and working with Applicant Tracking Systems and building analytics within them
  • Ability to shift from tactical to strategic and is pro-active
  • Constant talking, hearing, and prolonged sitting in front of a computer
  • The potential for prolonged standing, walking, squatting and/or bending
  • Occasional night, weekend, and long hours
  • Occasional driving required
