Position Description 

This position is primarily responsible for assessing and analyzing projects within the Outside Plant (OSP) division within Zayo. This position will be managing best practice identification for process, training, financial assessments; vendor management, project management, and construction management are required by performing the duties outlined below.


  • Provides daily management of workload, capital projects and operational expenses
  • Provides weekly management of Project Managers, corporate requests and acquisitions
  • Provides monthly management of Financials, performance, and metrics to meet corporate standards
  • Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications and delivery dates of products ordered
  • Provides guidance to the development of a system process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and equipment needs
  • Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met
  • Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of OSP operations including compiling, storing and retrieving production data for reports
  • Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives
  • Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government and customer policies, procedures and regulations
  • Is accountable for data integrity on projects, education of employees within the region, best practice identification and implementation related to project management and quality control 


 Bachelor’s degree; or two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google applications (Gmail, Google Calendar) and project management software
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to sit for 40 hours per week with occasional lifting, carrying and twisting
