Position Description


The Fixed Asset Accountant position is accountable for recording the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets.




  • Perform Project Close Reporting in conjunction with Capital Projects
  • Create Fixed Asset Entries for Upload into Ledger
  • Maintain Fixed Assets in Sub module and reconcile to G/L
  • Manage Fixed Asset Inventory to insure accuracy and timeliness
  • Managed Fixed Asset retirements and disposals
  • Respond to inquiries/disputes
  • Assist in month-end financial statement close
  • Assist with Special Accounting Projects as needed
  • Perform actions in the ledger as they relate to Fixed Asset/Inventory changes
  • Work with Project Accountants to ensure correct capitalization policies are followed.

  • BS in Accounting or equivalent – 2+ years of experience in Accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of applicable fixed asset, general ledger systems and procedures
  • Knowledge of Great Plains and Salesforce and experience with foreign currency a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with customers and employees in a professional manner
