Zayo [zey-oh]

In Xhosa; forthcoming, adj: responsive

Xhosa is one of the official languages of South Africa. Spoken by about 18% of the population, Xhosa is a tonal language meaning the same sequence of consonants and vowels can have different meanings when said with a rising or falling inflection. The most distinctive feature of Xhosa is the prominence of click consonants which is believed to have come from the neighboring Khoe people when they merged lineages.
